Lady Gaga and a PR Agency? Huh?
That was my first thought when I found this article… Ronn Torossian is the owner of a PR agency and the author to this blog post about the well known Lady Gaga. When I first read the title of the artice, I was expecting some blog that was going to go on and on about how weird Lady Gaga is, and how she is changing the way the media see performers- just something along those lines.
But, boy was I wrong. Torossian actucally quoted Gaga because he thought what she had to say was that, well for lack of a better word, epic.
I’m just a kid from NYC who decided to do this after all. Rule the world! What’s life worth living if you don’t rule it.” Gaga said in the April edition of New York Magazine. Torossian loved this quote and talked about the different aspects of it in which he agreed with.
I see where he is coming from in agreeing with Lady Gaga, I just think that it is so weird that out of l the performers today in the world, he would choose her to be in such agreeance with. This may be due to the fact, she kinda weirds me out. Yeh, she is an awesome singer and performer.. but Gaga puzzles me. I am glad Torossian can relate her to his PR lifestyle.![]()
I agree with you completely. I see Lady Gaga a sort of weird character and think that her main goal is to stir things up. I see her goal as a worthy one, we could all use a little spice in our lives, but do not really see her as one that a PR firm would relate to. She seems to have a lot of controversy and that can be a problem for a PR firm when working with her. I think that it is a risk that could either go very bad or very good, and for the sake of the blogger and PR firm I hope that it goes well.
Lady Gaga, what an interesting but entertaining woman. I do have to admit though, the way that I interpreted her quote “What life worth living if you don’t rule it” in a more uplifting way. I believe she was trying to say that if you put all of your mind and energy into one thing, then you can excel and be amazing at what you do. She put all of her soul into music and tried to be the best through all of her hard work and dedication, and now she rules that part of her life which is the most important to her. Her world is music, and now she feels that she rules the world. If Lady Gaga was not doing a good job of her putting her name out there and making people question, then she would just be another average joe, so in essence by being a little bit out there she is making people listen and look her way.

I agree with all of you–she’s definitely different, but I like her. She speaks her mind and doesn’t censor herself, which can sometimes be a problem for her PR people. I think some of her outfits are a little out there sometimes, but if you look at them as art (like she does) then it’s kind of cool. I think Gaga is doing all the right stuff right now, because no matter your age, color, or gender, you know exactly who she is. Clearly she and her PR people are doing something right if so many people know and identify certain things with her. Great blog!
I’ll admit I’m not the biggest Lady Gaga fan. Her music is just OK to me and her outfits are not epic, they are simply ghastly and just a plea and cry out for attention. What I do like about her is her attitude. Although I think she begs for too much attention (her outfits and music videos) she knows what she wants and how to get it. She is not scared of taking risks and chances and that is to be admired. Same thing goes for a PR firm. I think if you don’t take chances, you won’t get anywhere in your career and even life. Some people live to take risks, others take risks to live. Great blog post.
